Recent experience with Thrillophilia? Good or bad, find out!

Like every other person, I too, sought an escape from the Indian summer. I decided to plan a trip to the mountains, and decided that I’d be visiting Ladakh for my vacation. The first step was of course, researching possible tour options. Upon scouring the internet, I came across positive mentions of Thrillophilia, and decided to explore the tour packages they offered. I searched their website and honestly, I was overwhelmed by the trip options. I started by reading reviews about their products and found that there were few bad reviews online.

However, I decided to give Thrillophilia a try as it is quite famous for its Ladakh adventure experiences and also offers various other tours, packages and stays. I picked a few of their tours and filled an enquiry form on them. They contacted me within 2 hours and after our conversation, my queries were answered by their destination experts. And, I finally decided to book the 6 days Leh Ladakh Trip

Welcome by Thrillophilia team and tested bikes
Our journey to Ladakh was a two way trip. We took a flight to Delhi from Mumbai, and took a connecting flight to Ladakh that same evening. Once we freshened up, we were provided with keys to our bikes which were supposed to be our companion for the next six days. We drove and tested the bikes and they were in a really nice condition.  Later in the evening, we visited a few places nearby and had lunch at a local dhaba. Since we were all drained out, we came back to our stay, had some dinner and slept.

Bikes were in excellent condition
The next day, we woke up to a yummy breakfast and got a chance to try the famous “butter tea”. All the meals offered to us were fresh and loaded with local tastes. Today, we were riding towards Sham Valley and on our way we came across so many beautiful views. We stopped at the highest river rafting spot in the world to click some pictures and also got to watch the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus River.

The scenery in front of us was just dreamy and made us want to stay there forever. Our day went by in no time and we explored many famous places including the famous magnetic hill, the hall of fame and even the school which they show in the “3 idiots” movie, SECMOL.

We were backed by a Thrillophilia trip leader, who also rode a bike with us and led us to so many scenic spots for our pictures. Being lucky enough, we got a chance to taste the langar at Pathhar Sahib Gurudwara after which we headed back to Leh. After dinner, we set up our own bonfire and spent half of the night getting to know other people in our group.

Picturesque campsites of Thrillophilia in Nubra Valley
The third day of this tour took us to a totally different location which is Nubra Valley. The morning started with us walking up late and getting late for breakfast. However, the hotel staff was kind enough to reheat the food for us.  We reached there via Khardungla Pass, which many of you know as the world’s highest all-season motorable road. Later in the evening we took our bikes and headed to our campsite in Nubra Valley.

Heavy rains and change in itienrary amazing support by Thrillophilia ground team
Then came the fourth day, the one we were the most excited for as we were going to visit the Pangong Lake on our bikes.

However, heavy rains in the early morning hampered our entire day’s plans. The river overflowed, making it unfit for any biking. We contacted the Thrillophilia team, and were immediately met by an on-ground member at the location. A new plan was then devised; the company helped design a whole new itinerary to make sure our day wouldn't go to waste. Instead, a tour to Leh was planned.

It took about 5 hours for us to reach Leh. Our stay at the town was also prearranged by Thrillophilia, so we had a place to be right upon arrival. Since the day was left without any concrete plan, we spent the evening exploring the local markets and trying the street food around Leh.

Surprised by team Thrillophilia
The next day, we were met with a big surprise. To compensate for the lack of a bike trip to Pangong, the company had, over a single night, planned a trip to the lake for us! Traveling via bikes was still a risky move, so a tempo was arranged for our commute instead.

The Pangong Lake itself had exceeded all expectations: with its bright emerald green shining out against the stark white peaks, the lake appeared even more beautiful in life than it did in pictures and videos. We were a little upset about not being able to get a picture with our bikes, but considering the stakes, safe travel was much more important for us.

On the way, we got a chance to tour around many famous locations like the school they show in the movie “3 idiots” and the Thiksey Monastery. Once we reached our stay in Leh and rested after dinner, we could experience that feeling of accomplishment.

Overall rating of Thrillophilia 5/5
We explored Leh, Nubra valley and Pangong on bikes and the whole experience was ultimate. I don't think there is anything I can compare it to, but yes, this trip was all I needed.

I agree that we went through some unforeseen problems, but the way in which Thrillophilia’s team managed it was commendable. From booking our extra stay and travel for free to changing the last day’s itinerary overnight, they did their best to make this trip memorable for us.

Considering the factors ranging from food and accommodation to help by the on-site team and friendly behavior of the local vendors, we were provided with the best of everything. My trust was fully restored after this experience and I will definitely use Thrillophilia.com for my future bookings.
