The new hotel members- Eaton DC in Washington, Matetsi in Zimbabwe, Tortuga Bay in the Dominican Republic, Khwai Leadwood in Botswana, Future Found Sanctuary in South Africa and Rockhouse and Skylark Negril both in Jamaica- join an exceptional list of resorts handpicked and assessed for their dedication to the highest levels of social and environmental impact.
Initiatives from the new members range from a program to train & empower female safari guides in Botswana, an unwavering commitment to conservation in the Dominican Republic and creating an inclusive, safe, urban space to bring people together to discuss intersectional issues of race, gender and ability in Washington DC. African Bushcamps: Khwai Leadwood, Botswana
Regenerative Commitments: As part of the African Bush Camps’ collective, Khwai Leadwood was founded on the mission to share and conserve Africa together. The camp is dedicated to recruiting and empowering female guides and training the next generation through internship programs for local youth and aspires to conserve the land and support rural communities located in the most vulnerable wildlife areas via the African Bushcamps Foundation.
Hippos and elephants are regular sights at this camp nestled close to the edge of the Khwai river.
