The event at the Hotel ibis Styles in Heraklion’s center was focused on emerging trends and market specifics for Crete island.

Earlier this week the innovative and much anticipated RevitUp revenue enhancement service went before the Pancretan Hotel Managers Association in Heraklion, Crete. In a warmup for the February 6th HOTECH “Better Together” workshops in Athens, RevitUp presented its wares to key stakeholders in the Crete market.

The event at the Hotel ibis Styles in Heraklion’s center was focused on emerging trends and market specifics for Crete island. Introduced by the President of the organization, Dimitrios Koubarakis, RevitUp Business Development Director, Nikos Giokas made a catching presentation of methods and early successes to 30 or 40 hoteliers attending the organization’s weekly meetings.

Mr. Koubarakis, who is the General Manager of the Cosmotel Group of Hotels, introduced the new modular hotel revenue management service previously covered by Travel Daily News after the 100% Hotel Show in Athens, during the weekly stakeholder meetings which also featured other Crete based businesses focused on tourism and hospitality.

RevitUP is billed as the first service that melds key expertise in digital presence management, performance marketing, online distribution, and revenue management in a modular service for revenue enhancement. The new system has already received glowing praise from some of Greece’s most successful hotel owners. In fact, several hoteliers at the Heraklion meetup chimed in during Mr. Giokas’ presentation to comment on groundbreaking facets of the service. ReviUP will also contribute to the upcoming HOTEC workshop events on February 6th at the fabulous Divani Caravel Hotel in the center of Athens.

To find out more, Travel Daily News talked briefly with Minas Liapakis, who’s Founder of EyeWide Digital Marketing and part of the RevitUp brain trust, about HOTECH and about how RevitUp fits the market. Here’s what Mr. Liapakis had to say:

We are thrilled at the chance to participate in the IDeaS Revenue Solutions HOTECH Athens event. Obviously, our team welcomes the chance to participate alongside the best in the business. We’re also excited about the opportunity to demonstrate how superior our holistic approach to revenue enhancement is.”

HOTECH “Better Together” will be a hands-on educational workshop to aid Greek hoteliers in adopting the latest revenue technologies and methods. Designed by hotel revenue performance pioneers at IDeaS, the workshops make it easier for hoteliers deploy the best strategies and tools in order to maximize revenue and boost the return on investment. IDeaS has almost 30 years of expertise in the field and has grown to service more than one million rooms via its advanced systems. IDeaS now supports more than 8,700 clients in 106 countries.

The HOTECH “Better Together” event in Athens will be led by Stefan Schlachter, who is IDeaS Revenue Solutions’ chief of sales for Eastern Europe. Joining Mr. Schlachter are primalRES CEO, Panagiotis Kontozamanis; Veit Meier of Berner+becker; and Vasilios Riavoglou of OTA Insight, and other key revenue enhancement knowledge brokers.
