Roberto Wirth Jr. and Veruschka Wirth named Hotel Hassler Roma Executive Chairman and CEO, respectively

Together, they aim to consolidate The Jewels of Roberto E. Wirth and work on significant future developments, a fundamental step in their entrepreneurial journey.

NEW YORK – Roberto Wirth Jr. and Veruschka Wirth, twin children of Roberto E. Wirth, who recently passed away, introduce themselves to the hotelier world as Executive Chairman and CEO, respectively.

"The Hassler is in our DNA," Roberto Jr. and Veruschka explained. "From an early age, we experienced the hotel and its dynamics—an interweaving of work, home and passion that has always seen all members of the family involved."

Twins, born in Rome in 1992, Roberto Jr. and Veruschka now face new and important challenges, seeking innovation while maintaining a link with history and tradition. Together, they aim to consolidate The Jewels of Roberto E. Wirth and work on significant future developments, a fundamental step in their entrepreneurial journey. They now oversee the entire Italian hotel brand, including four properties in addition to Hotel Hassler in Rome: Il Palazzetto also in Rome, Hotel Vannucci and Borgo Bastia Creti in Umbria and Parco del Principe in Tuscany.

After studying in Switzerland at the Glion Institute of Higher Education, one of the world's most prestigious hospitality management schools, their paths diverged: Veruschka began her journey in Boston at a prestigious hotel, followed by a Master's degree in Brand Development in London, while Roberto Jr. began his professional experience within major International hospitality brands in London, Washington and Prague.

"We knew our destiny was here," Roberto Jr. and Veruschka like to remark. In 2017, Roberto Jr. decided to return to Italy to begin his professional journey alongside his father at Hotel Hassler, working on additional international visibility. In 2019, Veruschka began independently managing Parco del Principe in Tuscany, a neo-Gothic villa from the late 1800s, with great success.

"Our commitment is to maintain, continue and develop the path taken by our father, while keeping the Hassler an independent hotel, with its unique character, personality and history," so that the new team can look to the future. They add, "The real secret of our family tradition, what our grandmother and father passed on to us, is the love and passion for the work."

Their goal is to bring the right level of innovation to the brand while fully respecting its roots. They show no hesitation when it comes to goals for the future: become increasingly green and sustainable with tangible actions and projects, to develop an exclusive SPA inside Hotel Hassler and to recover a grotto, thanks to an extensive renovation, located inside the ancient walls overlooking Hotel Hassler's inner garden.
