Rome won the bid to host the 2021 IAPCO Annual Meeting

Rome hosted the IAPCO Annual Meeting in 1976.

Congratulations to Rome who were informed at the IAPCO 50th Anniversary Annual Meeting that they had won the bid to host the 2021 IAPCO Annual Meeting. The Rome team consists of Ega Worldwide Congress and Events, AIM Group International and OIC Group who will collaborate to deliver the flagship IAPCO meeting.

Cristina Aru of Ega says “We are most delighted that the Council has accepted our invitation to host the IAPCO AM&GA in Rome in 2021 and we will do our best to present the “Eternal City” from the historical as well as from the professional point of view. Rome hosted the IAPCO Annual Meeting in 1976: they were pioneer times for the meetings industry and for our new-born profession. Of course, many things have developed since then and we will be sharing with our colleagues a real “Roman Experience” from the historic to the modern era!”

“We will strive to enable our IAPCO colleagues to live some of their most memorable experiences. Rome is not only art, fantastic architecture, monuments and museums, it is lifestyle, it is traditions, it’ s all about making even the most ordinary extraordinary. Our IAPCO colleagues will certainly find that while the city’s past is certainly awe-inspiring, its present is equally invigorating, and we are looking forward enjoying with them our city and a unique General Assembly,” says Patrizia Semprebene Buongiorno, AIM Group International

“They say that “all roads lead to Rome”, however, before reaching the journey’s end, Council will make a welcome stop from the hard work of running the Association with a stop off in Florence”, so said Nicola Testai, OIC Group, who will head up the arrangements for Council.

Mathias Posch, President of IAPCO says “we were delighted to award the hosting of the Annual Meeting to team Rome, and the host of the associated Council Meeting to Florence. The bid document was well prepared, researched and reflected exactly what was required to host our showcase event”.
