Routehappy amenities now live on Travix OTA websites, helping consumers choose the best flight for them

Flyers using Travix sites will now see comprehensive amenities like Wi-Fi, entertainment and fresh food in flight search results.

NEW YORK – Routehappy, the merchandising content platform for flight shopping, announced Travix has integrated its Flight Amenities API across its brands including, CheapTickets.nl, BudgetAir.com, Vliegwinkel.nl and Flugladen.de. Travix users in multiple geographies and languages including English, Dutch, French and German are now able to see and compare amenities like Wi-Fi, entertainment and fresh food when shopping for flights.

Travix is among the first global OTAs to integrate Flight Amenities into search results; the integration will improve the shopping experience for both flyers and airlines by showing a comprehensive overview of amenities on board by flight and cabin. Routehappy's Flight Amenities make it easy for flyers to understand key differences between flights, including aircraft, seat, layout, Wi-Fi, entertainment and fresh food.

"We want to make things as easy as possible for our customers by keeping them informed and letting them know what their options are. We are continuously examining how customers search for and book their travel, while inquiring regularly about their desires. There was obvious demand for a comprehensive overview of airline information, flight details and amenities. And now we are meeting that demand, so that our customers can make the best choice to ensure they have a pleasant flight," says Travix CEO John Mangelaars.

"Travix adopting Routehappy Flight Amenities will increase transparency for flyers and help travelers gain a more complete picture while shopping for flights,” said Robert Albert, CEO at Routehappy. “It doesn’t just benefit consumers, but also airlines, which are able to highlight amenities they have invested in heavily to help them differentiate.”

In the coming months Travix will also be integrating targeted product attribute content by flight, in a standard format called Universal Product Attribute (UPA) from Routehappy Hub. Through the integration, airlines will be able to share comprehensive product content covering their worldwide schedules so users can see relevant features like aircraft, seat, food & beverage and entertainment offerings more directly in their flight results, through descriptive text, icons, photos, 360° virtual tours and videos.
