SABS launches Enterprise OBT

SABS to preview Enterprise online booking tool for TMCs and corporates at TravelTech Show 2022 as it announces pan-European roll out.

Travel technology expert SABS will launch Enterprise (the next generation online booking tool) to TMCs and corporate buyers at TravelTech Show, which takes place 29-30 June 2022 at ExCeL London.

Enterprise is a revolutionary leap forward for SABS’ proprietary OBT, which counts several leading UK and European TMCs and many more corporates as customers. Pre-pandemic, SABS clients used the technology to fulfil 7.2 million bookings for over 1.5 million passengers annually, with a 22 per cent growth rate each year.

While trip volumes have already returned to between 45-60 per cent of pre-pandemic levels, SABS managing director Brian Sheerin expects to not only meet, but exceed, 2019 levels within the next 12 months.

What’s more, come TravelTech Show in June, Enterprise will be available in an additional six European languages: French, German, Italian, Polish, Dutch-Flemish and Swedish.

New functionality
New underlying technology, functionality and capabilities have led to further improvements in sustainability, safety, speed and simplicity.

Sustainability

  • Carbon Budgets – allows users to set, monitor, manage and meet travel sustainability goals with budgets visible in search results. Users can assign department, group and individual CO2 budgets by year, quarter or month to encourage sustainable travel choices. They can also easily compare the CO2 impact of switching travel modes with air vs rail and price with the simultaneous search option.
  • Carbon Transfers – allows travellers to transfer carbon budgets between themselves to efficiently manage carbon budgets
  • Green Choice – allows bookers to identify the most sustainable travel option in an instant in search results.

Safety
Destination-specific alerts – bookers are now alerted to risks pre-booking, potentially saving time and money on unnecessary cancellations

  • Traveller wellbeing alerts – long same-day travel duration searches trigger a customisable pop-up to suggest alternate routes or an overnight stay instead to avoid burnout, often saving money on peak travel costs.

Speed

  • Enterprise’s underlying technology has been rebuilt to deliver thousands of in-policy choices in sub-second response times.
  • Upgraded ecommerce basket functionality now lets travel bookers keep up to five concurrent trip baskets open, perfect for busy EAs.

Simplicity
Enterprise’s new Advanced Approvals means companies can assign different approvers for different aspects of travel, from cost, destination risk, employee group and even CO2 impact of a trip, working in tiers or approval groups for a fast, responsive approval flow.

Existing SABS customers will be offered a free upgrade and conversion from SCION to Enterprise.

SABS managing director Brian Sheerin commented on the new launch: "Enterprise is the most advanced booking tool on the market, period. So, it’s not surprising so many leading UK and European TMCs use it rather than investing millions in developing their own IP.

“What’s more, Enterprise is far from a standard off the shelf, one size fits all package – every Enterprise solution is built bespoke for each customer and designed to solve their customers' needs, which can vary greatly depending on the industry they operate in, whether that’s media, retail, law, public service, Government or many others.”

SABS is committed to delivering innovative technology and services that transform its customers’ businesses. The team deploys best-of-breed solutions that set new standards for user experience and management in today’s application-rich, highly mobile world of travel. Everything we do is underpinned by a focus on innovation, value and quality.
