Sage Hotel Management adds The Bidwell Marriott Portland to growing Premier Collection portfolio

The Bidwell Marriott Portland is the company’s fifth hotel under management in Portland, Ore.

DENVER – Sage Hotel Management, a Sage Hospitality Group company, announced it has taken over management of The Bidwell Marriott Portland, an upper upscale hotel in the heart of bustling downtown Portland, Ore. The stylish hotel offers easy access to the city’s tax-free shopping and dining, top cultural attractions and natural playgrounds. The Bidwell joins Sage’s Premier Collection of hotels, which is comprised of more than 30 branded and soft-branded luxury and upper upscale hotels in 12 states. The Bidwell is Sage’s fifth hotel under management in Portland.

“We are thrilled to welcome such a great hotel to our Premier Collection, and to continue expanding our presence in Portland,” said Daniel del Olmo, president and chief operating officer of Sage Hotel Management. “The Bidwell perfectly captures the spirit of the city and is exactly the type of property we seek to add to our growing portfolio as we continue our quest to become the nation’s undisputable lifestyle hospitality company.”

In 2020, the existing Portland Marriott City Center underwent a full-scale, multimillion-dollar renovation that included a revamp of all guest rooms, suites, common areas, and meeting space along with the launch of a new signature restaurant and bar. The property reopened in 2021 as The Bidwell Marriott Portland.

Designed for comfort and sustainability, the contemporary 258-room property boasts spacious rooms offering stunning views of Portland and nearby mountains as well as premium amenities such as refillable water stations on every floor, a new fitness center featuring Peloton bikes and TRX equipment, 3,700 square feet of event space, and a first-floor shop 'Part + Parcel' offering a curation of food, beer, wine and other local goods. The second-floor eatery, High Horse, serves a selection of elevated, regionally inspired cuisine and drinks. The signature M Club lounge provides guests with a space to work or unwind.
