SIA and SUN 2022, the open-air Hospitality Academy is born

From October 12th to 14th, the 71st SIA Hospitality Design and the 40th SUN Beach & Outdoor Style at Rimini Expo Centre (Italy) organized by Italian Exhibition Group complete the tourist market place of TTG.

RIMINI, ITALY – In a world in constant evolution, the rules, times, destinations, and tools of tourism also change. The hospitality sector is ready to incorporate them at SIA Hospitality Design and SUN Beach & Outdoor Style, which for the 2022 editions focus on professional training. From October 12th to 14th 2022, at the same time as TTG Travel Experience, the salons dedicated to hôtellerie, open-air and seaside tourism organized by Italian Exhibition Group will launch a calendar of seminars and talks at the Rimini Expo Centre to transfer knowledge tools to compete on the market and become real Hospitality Innovators. From the renewal of bathing concessions to safety, from ecology to catering, from innovation to accessibility, the hottest topics in the sector will be touched upon with the support of accredited training partners.

New in the 2022 edition is the entry of the outdoor tourism supply chain into SIA Hospitality Design. Ever closer, in terms of housing, supplies and entrepreneurial spirit, to the hôtellerie, the camping supply chain finds a new place in the 71st edition of the show, disconnecting itself from the world of seaside tourism. This trend indication, which is linked to the recent collaboration agreement signed by IEG and FAITA Federcamping, brings the world of camping, glamping and outdoor tourism in direct contact with the hotel hospitality sector: from hotel services to technologies, from supplies to furnishings, up to the design of contract spaces.

SIA returns with the Design Arena, linked to the themes of design, contract and services, which this year pays particular attention to the customization of products and services and technological evolution. The exhibition offer is accompanied by the events of the Main Arena, with the participation of institutional guests and the main stakeholders in the sector. Among these, the presence of Federalberghi, which gathers the board of directors during the tradeshow. SUN will also have as its guidelines the anticipation of trends and innovation. Now in its 40th edition, it is confirmed as the leading event in Italy for seaside tourism, indicating in the Beach Village area the new trends for beach holidays and all the innovative solutions of products and services, both in the Innovation Seastyle Area and with the start-ups of the seaside sector of the Sun Next Seastyle Area, an initiative created in collaboration with CNA Emilia-Romagna and the Mondo Balneare magazine.

Also this year, reception design is built at the Rimini Expo Centre, where four exhibitions are proposed to inspire operators. The Mostra Rooms will host six mock-ups of hotel rooms entrusted to the skilled hands of contractors who will be able to interpret new trends by transforming them into projects. The second exhibition dedicated to Wellness will give an example of what it means today to dedicate spaces to relaxation and individual well-being, following contemporary rituals. The Hotel in Motion Exhibition will welcome the new technologies and services for hotel facilities, while the Glamping Exhibition will be displayed in the Camping & Village area, which will tell how the open-air holiday style has evolved through the quality of service and refined materials.

SIA and SUN will take place simultaneously, in addition to TTG Travel Experience, completing the market place, also with the second edition of Superfaces, the event dedicated to innovative materials and surfaces for architecture and interior design and with IBE Intermobility and Bus Expo, the exhibition of passenger transport and interconnected and green mobility.
