In order to ease travel to the destination, the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten has announced that travelers originating from the USA and Canada can supply any non-home administered antigen test for the SARS-COV-2 virus obtained from a naso-pharyngeal swab performed within 48 hours prior to departure to Sint Maarten for entry into the country. All FDA approved antigen tests including those with Emergency Use Authorization only (EUA), are accepted. With no curfews in place like other Caribbean destinations, all restaurants, bars, nightlife, shops and attractions are now open for tourists to enjoy everything that the island has to offer.

The destination, known for its diverse dining, is a gastronomic journey, with chefs hailing from Italy, Mexico, Japan, Peru and throughout the Caribbean, helming the kitchens of some of the island’s most prominent restaurants. At Sonesta Resorts Sint Maarten, epicurean offerings include an authentic brick-oven pizza kitchen, local seafood specialties and intimate dining experiences. The property has put into effect all government measures as have all restaurants and venues, including spacing of tables six to eight feet apart. Further, all service staff and hotel team members have a mask mandate in place.
