Looking for adventure? A journey through the colorful Kingdom of Bhutan will launch in August 2018 with the opening of three of the five lodges that make up Six Senses Bhutan. The remaining two lodges will open by the end of 2018. Moving through the spiritual Himalayan Kingdom that lives by its ethos of gross national happiness, each of the five unique settings identifies with a specific theme for an uplifting journey through the senses. Beginning in the capital of Thimphu, the emphasis is on culture. The second stop is Punakha which is referred to as the flying farmhouse amidst the rice fields.  Gangtey features a unique bird-watching bridge and is home to the fascinating black necked cranes while Bumthang has been created as a forest within a forest.  The fifth stop, Paro, is on the site of old stone ruins, which have been playfully brought to life through the interiors.

Want to spa in style? Six Senses will also be launching standalone spas, notably in the Middle East with the soon-to-be-opened Six Senses Spa Dubai and also Six Senses Spa Manama, Bahrain.

Six Senses Spa Dubai is the first of its kind to offer treatment suites that are each dedicated to a different sense. Opening in February 2018, the spa is located on level five of the Renaissance Downtown Hotel and is swathed in a palate of sand and light naturals. It is the first of its kind to offer treatment suites that are each dedicated to a different sense. Guests can enjoy a variety of holistic therapies and sensory experiences based on sound, sight, touch, taste, smell and intuition, helping them rebalance their body, mind and spirit.

Entering Six Senses Spa Manama feels like stepping inside a natural pearl, a source of national pride and commerce for Bahrain. Opening in mid 2018, on the 9th and 10th floors of the Wyndham Grand Manama, the spa is set against a calming theme of the mystical underwater world with textures and materials inspired by the features and curves of the pearl. The spa journey mirrors the different energies of the city life, from the sensory stimulation and movement of the street to the stillness and calm of a quiet park. This achieves spaces that are both relaxing and re-energizing to achieve wellness, fitness and a total escape.
