Smartwings launches new line to Nice

Smartwings currently operates flights from Prague to 51 destinations and to another 14 destinations from Brno and Ostrava.

PRAGUE – Smartwings airline company launched a new line between Prague and the French town of Nice. Direct flights to the popular summer destination on French Riviera will be dispatched every Thursday and Sunday. In addition, Smartwings has also resumed flights to Valencia, Spain (twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays). Smartwings currently operates flights from Prague to 51 destinations and to another 14 destinations from Brno and Ostrava.

Thursday’s flights will depart from Prague to Nice at 8:00. Return flights from Nice will depart at 10:50, arriving at the Prague airport at 12:50. On Sundays, the flight schedule offers departure from Prague at 19:00. Return flights from Nice will depart at 21:50 with arrival in Prague at 23:50. Flight tickets to Nice are available on Smartwings and Czech Airlines websites and at flight ticket vendors.

“We have been constantly expanding our portfolio of destinations and the number of flights. Despite the ever-changing restrictions imposed by the health authorities, Smartwings Group has dispatched more than 300 flights to some fifty destinations this week alone,” says Peter Šujan, Business Director, Smartwings.

Smartwings Group offers flights from Prague to 51 destinations in Greece, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Bulgaria, Croatia, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Albania, Tunisia, Cape Verde, United Kingdom, and Russia. The airline serves another 14 destinations in Greece, Bulgaria, Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia, and Spain from airports in Brno and Ostrava. For instance, Smartwings dispatches more than 90 flights from the Czech Republic to Greece every week. Another 39 flights take tourists every week to popular destinations in Bulgaria. Smartwings offers a wide range of destinations also in Spain (Málaga, Valencia, Mallorca, Menorca, Murcia, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote) and Italy (Olbia, Cagliari, Catania, Lamezia Terme, Naples).

Further expansion of the portfolio of destinations and an increase in flight frequency depends on the health situation in the respective countries and on lifting of travel restrictions. In the current situation, passengers value flexibility the most. That is why Smartwings offers its clients free rebooking for all existing and new individual bookings by 31 December 2021. Together with their flight tickets, clients can also purchase travel insurance on the Smartwings website including coverage for the COVID-19 disease.

Stringent hygienic regulations apply on board of Smartwings Group aircraft. Airplane cabins undergo thorough disinfection before and after each flight, airplanes are fitted with HEPA air filters that capture 99.97% of viruses and bacteria and passengers are allowed to board only with a face mask.
