Reinforced “Health First” protocols and a certification from TÜV Hellas/TÜV Nord; Enforcement of international Accor protocols.

ATHENS – Sofitel Athens Airport opened its doors once again on July 1st of 2020, in accord-ance with the further reinstatement of international flights, so as to welcome visitors from Greece and the en-tire world whilst offering the high level of hospitality which has set it apart from its first day of operation.

In its strategic location just a few steps from the arrivals terminal of the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”, Sofitel Athens Airport, a member of Accor, is joining in this new season of the restart of Greek Tourism, with the total safety and protection of its guests in mind.

Completely prepared and in coordination with current events, the Sofitel Athens Airport team is setting all the appropriate protective measures in place as have been prescribed by health bodies, as well as a series of reinforced “Health First” health and prevention protocols, in addition to Accor’s international standards. Fur-thermore, the hotel has received a certification from TÜV Hellas/TÜV Nord for the design and implementation of health measures, whilst the hotel’s team has been re-trained in accordance with the new circumstances.

Additionally, through the strategic collaboration of Accor and AXA, guests of Sofitel Athens Airport have the option of utilising medical tele-consultations as well as access to AXA’s extended network so as to receive medical care services.

General Manager of Sofitel Athens Airport, Mr George Stavrou, mentions specifically: “With great joy and hope for the future, the Sofitel Athens Airport family is welcoming the next day of Greek tourism once again, to host travellers from every part of the world. As we have always been guided by the provision of high-level hospi-tality services, with our guests as our focal point, we have moved on to the initiation of robust protocols, which will allow us to offer our visitors the highest feeling of safety. These guidelines are completely in tune with in-structions from governmental bodies, as well as Accor’s policy. In this light, Accor’s collaboration with AXA allows us to provide our guests with access to an extensive network of health services if so required. After an unprecedented situation for worldwide tourism, Sofitel Athens Airport opened its doors once more to welcome the authentic Greek tourism which best describes our people, our industry and Greece as a whole."
