Space Perspective taps travel industry veteran Edyta Teper as Head of Global Sales for Trade Partnerships

Edyta Teper will report to Sandy Heydt, Chief Marketing Officer. 

Space Perspective, the world’s first luxury spaceflight experience, announced that travel industry veteran Edyta Teper has joined the company as Head of Global Sales - Trade Partnerships.

In this role, Edyta will be responsible for overseeing global sales for travel trade partnerships. She will lead sales efforts and collaborate with the marketing team in new business development. Edyta will report to Sandy Heydt, Chief Marketing Officer.

Space Perspective is inviting more people than has historically been possible to experience a thrillingly new and visceral perspective that expands the human consciousness: the incredibly exhilarating panoramas and scale of Earth in space. As soon as late 2024, Space Explorers will be gently escorted to the edge of space inside Spaceship Neptune, a pressurized capsule propelled by a high-performance spaceballoon that doesn’t use rocket fuel and offers unparalleled 360 degree views of the world through panoramic windows. The ultra-comfortable, accessible and gentle six-hour journey radically redefines space tourism.

Based out of Kennedy Space Center, Space Perspective is led by industry luminaries Jane Poynter and Taber MacCallum, along with their expert crew who have been responsible for most human space balloon flights in the last 50 years. Poynter and MacCallum have been dubbed ‘Masters of the Stratosphere’ by Bloomberg Businessweek, and MacCallum has served as Chairman of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation.

“Edyta’s tremendous passion for the Space Perspective brand, strong sales background and extensive knowledge of the luxury global travel industry market makes her an instrumental member of our team as we experience tremendous growth and demand in space tourism,” said Poynter.

Teper joins Space Perspective with 25 years of travel industry experience, an international background, and exceptional sales and leadership abilities. She began her career with Jetset Tours which brought her to Los Angeles from Melbourne, Australia, followed by various senior sales and marketing positions at Carnival Cruise Lines, Crystal Cruises, and Virtuoso. Most recently, Teper was part of the Virgin Voyages start-up team serving as Director of Sales-US & Canada East, and Associate Vice President of Strategic Sales, Americas. In these roles, she hired, trained, and mentored a new-to-the industry sales team and leveraged her longstanding relationships to establish and solidify Consortia and National Account partnerships.

While Space Perspective’s first flight will depart from Florida, the company is planning additional launch sites around the world. Space Perspective is now taking reservations, with refundable deposits, on its Spaceship Neptune for flights priced at $125,000 per person. Commissionable and net rates are offered.
