Spaces at the Spine joins meeting industry venues association IACC

Spaces at The Spine launched in September 2021 and boasts world-class dynamic spaces for conferences, workshops and dining, as well as event production services to accommodate virtual and hybrid events.

Spaces at the Spine, Liverpool’s ultimate event destination housed within the new Northern home of the Royal College of Physicians, has joined meeting industry venues association IACC

The IACC is a global community of exceptional venues that offer conference and meeting facilities. A condition of acceptance to become an IACC member requires a commitment to IACC’s Quality Standards that cover a range of best practices in the areas of the physical environment as well as the services and support provided.

Spaces at The Spine launched in September 2021 and boasts world-class dynamic spaces for conferences, workshops and dining, as well as event production services to accommodate virtual and hybrid events. The venue is housed within The Spine, the new northern home of the Royal College of Physicians (RCP), the oldest medical association in the UK currently in its 504th year. Sustainability is at the core of the venue’s operation and day-to-day business, and sustainability strategies are an integral part of our venue’s design.

Spaces at the Spine’s Head of Commercial Events, Natacha Allen says: “We are proud to follow in the footsteps of our sister venue, RCP London Events to become members of IACC. It’s great to be part of a global association that stands for quality in the conference and meetings industry.”

The IACC has a rigorous Code of Sustainability which aligns well with Spaces at the Spine’s sustainable credentials. The venue is one of the healthiest in the North West and was built according to the Well Building Standard. The standard comprises 10 concepts that are deeply linked to physical and mental health and that can be embedded in a number of areas including air and water quality, light, active design, thermal comfort and material procurement. These concepts have all been incorporated into the building design to create a healthy and enjoyable environment and to optimise the health of those that use it.

Mark Cooper, IACC's CEO says: "Spaces at The Spine is a perfect example of an IACC venue; one which not only offers a high quality meeting experience, but has also been designed to push the boundaries in relation to attendee health and wellbeing through every aspect of the design and operations. We are thrilled to welcome Spaces at The Spine into the IACC global community.”
