SuperShuttle now open at San Antonio International Airport

Downtown Service to expand to suburbs throughout November.

SAN ANTONIO – SuperShuttle, the nation's largest airport ride sharing service, has reopened at San Antonio International Airport. The City of San Antonio awarded the Downtown Shuttle Service Concession to a partnership between Star Shuttle and Charter, Inc. and Carter Transportation.

"We are thrilled to be back at the San Antonio International Airport," said Dave Bird, president of SuperShuttle International. "The City of San Antonio Aviation Department awarded the concession to two Texas power-house transportation providers: Star Shuttle and Charter, the Walker Family's award-winning worldwide transportation service based out of San Antonio for 54 years; and, longtime Austin SuperShuttle Franchisee Carter Transportation."

"We chose to operate in San Antonio under the SuperShuttle brand because of its worldwide marketing and technology platform," said Johnny Walker, CEO of Star Shuttle and Charter, Inc., and a long-standing member of the San Antonio community. According to Mr. Walker, "The SuperShuttle app is as advanced as any transportation reservation, dispatch and accounting system ever developed." Walker added, "Star's other main interest in SuperShuttle is its super-convenient and super-efficient service for customers including local business and leisure travelers as well as meeting and convention attendees."

Carter has owned and operated the SuperShuttle airport franchise in Austin for 18 years, was named "SuperShuttle franchisee of the year" in 2016 and has consistently ranked in the top 3 SuperShuttle locations worldwide according to customer surveys.

Reservations can be made online at supershuttle.com or via mobile app.
