Elisabeth Bernstein, Jonas Ogvall and Linnea Bremborg.

They will strengthen the company’s offering to customers in 2022 and beyond as a combination that will deliver highly professional and outstanding experiences.

The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre Gothia Towers is making a major investment in its Congress & Events operation, through the recruitment of three respected individuals in the events industry: Elisabeth Bernstein, Jonas Ogvall and Linnea Bremborg. They will strengthen the company’s offering to customers in 2022 and beyond as a combination that will deliver highly professional and outstanding experiences.

The Congress & Events business unit at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre Gothia Towers organises large meetings, congresses, external fairs and events that include anything from 300 to 10,000 participants. The team behind Congress & Events is experienced and ranks among the top meeting experts in the industry. And now the team is being enlarged by three new Account Managers, each with different focus areas, to enhance the customer experience.

“The needs and expectations around physical meetings have changed and the demands for unique and value-adding meeting experiences are greater than ever. These three people will complement each other and meet the different needs of our market segments with their skills and solid experience,” says Malin Erlandsson, Director Congress & Events.

Among the top recruits is Elisabeth Bernstein, former Key Account Manager and Events Manager at American Express Meeting & Events and Carlsberg Sweden, among other appointments: “I am passionate about working with the kind of creative meetings and events that are possible here and want to add value as an advisor to the event agencies and their clients. Together with Jonas and Linnea, we will be a strong outward-facing team, catering to a broad spectrum of different customer needs,” Elisabeth says.

Linnea Bremborg comes from the Gothenburg Athletics Association, where she worked in sales and project management linked to the Göteborgsvarvet half marathon and MCI Scandinavia as project manager for congresses in the scientific field: “My focus will be on congresses and association meetings. I look forward to continuing to develop the offering and value for this important group of customers,” Linnea says.

Jonas Ogvall gained extensive experience in events, fairs and meetings in his previous roles including Volvo Event Management and at Göteborg & Co as well as marketing manager for payment solutions at Collector Bank. He also specialises in the interpersonal and communicative aspects of meetings. He says: “I am very much looking forward to contributing to the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre Gothia Towers and consolidating and developing its position as one of Europe’s most attractive meeting places.”

A unique range of large physical fairs and events as well as hybrid meetings and smaller conferences are all gathered under one roof here in Gothenburg. The Congress & Events team sells and packages value-added meeting experiences, working with and through partners in business, research, academia, trade associations and politics at regional, national and international level.

The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre Group is one of Europe’s largest fully integrated meeting places with a unique city-centre location. The Group creates and hosts exhibitions, events, hotels, restaurants, spa and a theatre – everything under one roof. Around 2 million people are annually welcomed to the meeting place. The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre Group is owned by a private, independent foundation; The Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre Foundation, that generates over 3,3 billion SEK in tourism industry revenue yearly.
