The anniversary of the Sveti Stefan Hotel marked by a concert by Andrea Bocelli

On Montenegrin Statehood Day, 13th July, the golden jubilee of the Sveti Stefan Hotel was marked by a concert by the worldwide renowned great of the music scene, Andrea Bocelli in spectacular style. Bocelli delighted the assembled dignitaries, including Montenegro’s top officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps and many faces from cultural, political and public life, as well as many current and former tourist entrepreneurs who had contributed to the development of Montenegrin tourism, with an hour-long show on a stage right in front of the island-hotel’s perimeter wall.

As befits this unique jewel on the Montenegrin shore, the famous Italian tenor began his show with the well-known aria “E Lucevan le Stelle” and then came the hits “Con te partiro”, “O Sole mio”, “Besa me mucho” and other popular arias and traditional songs from Naples, accompanied by piano, violin and four operatic divas. The end of the concert was marked with a spectacular 20-minute firework show.

After the concert there was a dinner for the 450 invitees in the renovated restaurant “Olive Tree” on the shore of Sveti Stefan Island, during which guests were entertained by the Montenegrin musician Sergej Cetkovic and one of the best known Greek bazouki singers, Antonis Remos.

Apart from the celebration of the jubilee of the company “Adriatic Properties” which is the tenant of the hotel, at the same time there was the opening of the Sveti Stefan Hotel under the tourist brand “Aman Resorts” which is the world leader. In this way the return of world-renowned stars to Sveti Stefan whose phased opening has already started and will be finished by the end of the summer, was announced. The first guest of the renovated hotel was in fact Andrea Bocelli.

The sponsors of the event were the company “Adriatic Properties”, “Aman Resorts”, HG "Budvanska Rivijera” and the Budva Tourism Organisation.
