The best holiday destinations in Spain 2022

So, if you are looking to visit Spain in 2022, here are some of the best destinations to consider.

As we are enjoying the first half of the summer and sunny weather, most of us will be looking to book a holiday, either with our friends, significant others or families. Spain will always remain a top choice for thousands of holiday-makers every year and the reasons are pretty clear. Relaxed and laid-back vibes, mouth-watering food and wine, affordable holiday rentals, fun festival and night life opportunities and so much more – what else can you ask from a holiday? So, if you are looking to visit Spain in 2022, here are some of the best destinations to consider!

Marbella
Located in the Costa del Sol, Marbella is one of the best holiday destinations for those who want the perfect balance between soaking up the sun on the beach and engaging in some fun activities. The stunning little village is home to just a few hundred residents, which makes it an incredibly unique and charming place.

The Old Town and the Orange Square is a must-visit, with beautiful historic architecture, delicious food places and shopping opportunities. The Playa de Alicante white sand beach is a heaven on Earth for sun lovers during the day and a vibrant nightlife spot for drinks in the evenings.

Ibiza
When it comes to parties and a good time, you absolutely cannot beat Ibiza. The Balearic Island of Spain is buzzing with tourists from all walks of life looking to enjoy a lush cocktail or two and dance into the night.

However, Ibiza has much more to offer than just the nightlife – the local sandy beaches and bright turquoise waters right in front of the rocky cliffs create the most incredible scenery. This is where many people come for photography opportunities, water sports or simply to admire the breathtaking scenery.

Alaró
If you are someone who enjoys a more authentic local experience in a town that is not over-crowded by the tourists, Alaró is the place to be. Alaró is a small and quiet town in Mallorca, peacefully located in the valley of the Tramuntana Mountain range slopes. While there are no beaches nearby, this destination is a great opportunity to get back in touch with nature with some amazing hikes and stunning landscapes.

Besides, the town of Alaró is super traditional, offering the most authentic experiences and foods you can get in Spain. It is known for being home to some great breweries where you can taste local beers and enjoy delicious meals, while admiring the sleepy streets and charming architecture.

Sitges
For a larger city experience, the coastal city of Sitges is a brilliant and family-friendly destination to visit in Spain. There are so many things you can experience in Sitges that you would struggle to get bored. For the lazy beach days, the city has a whopping 17 beaches you may choose from, all promising completely different experiences. You have sandy beaches, ones with pebbles or coves, busy and secluded spots – you name it, it’s there.

Additionally, Sitges is well-known for its artsy heritage and community, so the city is full of art galleries, museums, studios as well as hosts some of the best film festivals and carnivals. You will also have plenty of restaurants, cocktail bars and live music venues to choose from, offering fun and authentic experiences.
