The countdown’s under way for the 54th TTG Incontri: Internationaly and innovation

From 12th to 14th October 2017 at Rimini Fiera, simultaneaously with SIA Guest and SUN the IEG appointment with the tourism business.

RIMINI – In 2017 world tourism business reports a further growth and TTG Incontri – the great tourism marketplace being held at Rimini Fiera from 12th to 14th October, is ready to meet the new challenges and welcome with an increasingly qualified showcase a public made up of visitors and exhibitors following the success of the last edition, which ended after being attended by almost 70,000 trade members (+10%), with 130 destinations represented and over a thousand international buyers from 85 countries.

An appointment for the entire tourism industry, with the simultaneous staging of the 66th SIA Guest (Hotel Hospitality Exhibition) and the 35th SUN (International exhibition dedicated to beach, campsite and outdoor furniture and products).

TTG Incontri is the sector’s leading annual event, at which all the national and international travel industry meets to negotiate, network, attract new business and find new ideas.
The highlight of the Exhibition will be the Opening Conference on Thursday 12th October, which will be attended by Emilia Romagna Regional Councillor for Tourism, Andrea Corsini, Rimini Mayor Andrea Gnassi and IEG President, Lorenzo Cagnoni.

Bearing out trade members’ faith in what in Italy continues to be the only b2b appointment at which to find real business opportunities, TTG Incontri, the first under the banner of IEG (Italian Exhibition Group, the new expo player founded with the merger of Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza), reports a 15% increase in exhibit space bookings.

The international nature of the fair is growing. A trend that is explained by the possibility, on behalf of visitors and exhibitors, of finding different types of products for both the outgoing and the incoming market, with great opportunities for small and medium sized tour operators and, obviously, for travel agencies.

Among the foreign destinations, China, Japan, India and Tunisia have already confirmed their participation, while this year’s new aspects include an increase in the number of buyers attending, which will rise to 1,500, compared to the 1,000 of the 2016 edition, of whom a part are specialized in foreign products. Another new feature will be the fact that the Meet Your Destination online platform of appointments with travel Italian agents will be extended to include Tourist Boards.

Moreover, there will be an even greater integration with SIA GUEST and SUN, thanks also to the program of meetings (over 150 events, conferences and seminars) with experts from the sector, testimonials, institutional and association representatives. To favour direct matching between SIA Guest exhibitors and those responsible for hotel facilities, a Work Hotel Day will also be held.

The attention paid to new trends in tourism’s supply and demand, the world of technological innovation and start ups will take concrete form via qualified proposals and participations in the TTG Next area, while among this year’s focuses, the one on Italian Products will have a particularly high profile, following up on constantly growing tourism demand.
