Searches for cheap flights to the USA have increased by 180% since the travel ban has been lifted. Naveen Dittakavi, founder and CEO of Next Vacay comments: “With nearly 90% of UK adults having at least one vaccine dose, and 75% having both doses, a UK-US travel corridor established both ways is forthcoming. It’s now been 18 months since the travel restriction was set in place, and Brits are ready to resume travel for business, pleasure, and to reunite with family and friends across the Atlantic.
Travelers from the UK and the EU have been patiently waiting for the USA to reopen their borders since first closing them in March 2020. Beginning 18 months ago, if a British national wished to travel to the US. they could not if they were in the UK within the previous 14 days of flying to the US. To get around that restriction, a UK resident would have to first fly into another country, such as Barbados or Mexico, quarantine in place, take a test, and then fly into the United States.
