The new Brown Brut is named theofficial Tel Aviv Pride Hotel 2022

Located on Tel Aviv’s Mediterranean promenade, the new 182-room property has been selected by the Tel Aviv Municipality as the official hotel for Tel Aviv PRIDE, taking place June 10, 2022.

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL - The international hotel collection Brown Hotels has announced that its latest Tel Aviv property, Brown Brut, has been named as the official Tel Aviv Pride Hotel of 2022. Selected by the Tel Aviv Municipality, Brown Brut proudly welcomes the title as the city gears up to host its 24th annual Pride Parade on Friday June 10th. Tens of thousands of people from around the world are expected to gather in Tel Aviv in celebration.

Chosen from a selection of applicants, the Tel Aviv Municipality has awarded Brown Brut the title of “Official Tel Aviv Pride Hotel 2022”. To mark the celebration, Brown Brut will host a “Pink Bazaar” in the lobby of Beit Gaon, where LGBTQ designers and artists will showcase and sell their works in a market-style bazaar on the evenings of June 8th and 9th from 17:00-22:00. On the evening of June 9th, the official Tel Aviv Pride 2022 press conference will commence at Brown Brut, in partnership with the Tel Aviv City Hall.

Leon Avigad, founder of Brown Hotels, said: “We feel honoured that Brown Brut has been chosen from a number of great hotel properties, to be the official Pride hotel of 2022. As a hospitality group that has taken pride in being LGBTQ friendly since establishment in 2010, we are absolutely delighted to be hosting dozens of LGBTQ guests, influencers, and journalists, gathering in celebration of such a significant movement, which is especially close to our hearts."

Having officially opened in Q1 2022, Brown Brut is a new hotel by Brown Hotels situated between the charming Neve Tzedek neighbourhood and Tel Aviv’s Mediterranean promenade. The repurposed property was originally built during the 1970s and manifests a Brutalist architectural design popular of the time, which inspired the naming of the hotel as “Brown Brut”. With 182 light-filled rooms decorated in a clean monochromatic colour palette, an open-air lounge, wellness centre and soon-to-open restaurant, Brown Brut is a contemporary, urban offering with an unparalleled beachfront location, perfect for international travellers to the city.

Housed in the “Beit Gaon” building (translating to “Genius House”), the minimalist construction was built with distinguishing windows that protrude and slant downwards; a functional design feature that reduces the penetration of direct sunlight into the building, which served the former office block well during the summer months. The hotel's interior marries well with the brutalist external design, with the public spaces and stylish rooms decorated in a clean, monochrome colour palette with fiery splashes of red, showcasing exposed concrete walls and pipes, a black mesh motif on wall partitions and furnishings, and bathrooms finished with graphite coloured terrazzo tiles.

Brown Brut presents five different room types to suit the needs of every traveller. Guests can choose from the “Urban”, “Classic”, “Deluxe” or “Executive” room, or opt for the “Executive Suite”, better suited to families. Each room at Brown Brut offers exceptional views of Tel Aviv beach front that sweep across the Mediterranean, or dynamic and characterful views of the white cityscape. Each room type features a queen sized bed, complimentary high-speed WiFi, HD TV, mini fridge, bathrobes and slippers and luxury bathroom amenities. The Executive rooms and suites have the additional benefit of a Nespresso machine.
