The ten best Disney hotels for price, customer rating, location and amenities

Forbes Advisor has named Copper Creek Villas & Cabins as the best place to stay at Walt Disney World.

Forbes Advisor has named Copper Creek Villas & Cabins as the best place to stay at Walt Disney World. The accommodation earned a score of 81.6 points out of 100. Having opened only in 2017, the Pacific Northwest-inspired cabins sit right on the shore of Bay Lake. Although the property boasts cabins by name, the rustic elements feel very much luxury – complete with an indoor fireplace, porch and private hot tub.

The hotel allows guests to reach the Magic Kingdom in just under ten minutes. Additionally, guests can pick from three different restaurants and enjoy amenities such as motorized boat rentals and a dazzling heated pool, surrounded by nature.

While the hotel is part of the deluxe offering, those looking for a more affordable stay can still enjoy what it has to offer, through booking a Deluxe Studio room. The accommodation allows visitors to reside in spacious accommodation, where they can enjoy views of the resort from their porch or balcony.  What’s best is that the cheaper price is in line with the average nightly stay at a Disney World Hotel, however in this case guests are in a deluxe resort!

The affordable element of the property, alongside excellent amenities and a brilliant location makes it  Forbes Advisor’s number one choice for those looking to stay in Disney World Resorts.

Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
Taking second spot is the Boulder Ridge Villas with 79.1 points. This hotel pays homage to decor of the late 1800s in a beautiful setting. Guests can take advantage of the pool offering at the Copper Creek Villas & Cabins, and can even catch a boat to Disney’s Magical Kingdom. Much like the Copper Creek accommodation, which is their sister hotel, the accommodation has both deluxe studios and villas to choose from, allowing guests on various budgets to enjoy the resort.

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa took bronze position, with a score of 77.2 points. The property is located in the heart of Disney and offers guests a walking path straight to The Magic Kingdom. While it is a more expensive facility, there really is something for guests of all ages, including The Grand Floridian Spa, exquisite dining options and campfire activities.

The Best Value Disney World Hotels
A vacation to Disney World is truly a bucket list adventure for many families. While this can mean a super pricey vacation, Forbes Advisor have uncovered the best options for those looking to stay in better value accommodation.

The campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort offers fun family camping activities
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort comes out on top for best the value accomodation with 76.04 points. The campsite resort ranks as the fifth best Disney accomodation overall thanks to its excellent pricing, range of amenities and guest reviews. Prices start from just above $100 a night during peak season and living options range from a pop up tent to a premium campsite.

Coming in at second place for value is Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort with 69.06 points. With pricing starting from $346 in peak season plus five leisure pools and a Pirate Adventure Cruise, you can be sure that children will be entertained for hours on end.

The third best value accommodation is Disney's Art of Animation Resort raking in 66.2 points. Rated highly by guests, the rooms for peak period starts from $290 per night, and boasts the largest resort pool in Walt Disney World Resorts. What’s more, is that your pup doesn’t need to stay home, as it’s dog friendly!

Amy Danise, from Forbes Advisor has provided tips on how to plan the ultimate Disney break: Disney has a generous cancellation refund policy. However, if you’re going to be putting down large non-refundable deposits for your trip, or buying non-refundable plane tickets, consider travel insurance. A travel insurance policy can compensate you if you lose money because of a cancellation due to sickness or an injury, for example.

Disney offers a Travel Protection Plan with basic coverage levels. If you want a more generous plan, travel insurance with increased coverage is available from many providers.

If your job tends to get in the way of vacations, look for a travel insurance policy that includes “cancel for work” coverage. That way you’ll have a financial safety net if work requirements ruin your Disney plans.
