The top three undiscovered historic spots in London

If you take a trip to St Magnus the Martyr’s Church on Lower Thames Street, you may be able to catch a glimpse of the stones within the church’s own tower.

London attracts over 30 million tourists from around the world each year, but it is not surprising as London is filled with history, architecture, culture, and fun things to see and do. Many people may believe that London it is over-saturated with tourist traps and visitors standing around taking selfies by Buckingham Palace and whilst this is partly true, the city of London, has some much to offer.

There are hundreds of websites where you can find guides of which restaurants and bars to visit in London, but if you want really see London and learn about the city's history, then there are not many good articles out there. If you want to get out there and real discover the city, experiencing the best of Britain’s history and Aesthetic Charm, here our my personally recommendations. Pack your camera, for here are 3 of the most unique historical venues in London, which you need to visit.

London’s Roman Remains
London has a marvellous Roman history that is hidden within the Capital’s busy city streets. If you are willing to jump in on a Roman Walking Tour on either Wednesday or Friday, then you will learn London’s history as “Londinium”, a settlement that was established by the Romans in AD 43. When exploring London, you will be able to catch a glimpse of the Roman Amphitheatre, found in the Guildhall Art Gallery. London also offers the chance for tourists to see first-hand, authentic Roman Baths, the remains of the Roman City Wall and even a hidden Roman fort.

My advice if you are interested in seeing Roman remains in the flesh, as most of these heritage sites are outside, put you coat on and pack an umbrella. The weather in London can be very wet and you don't want to be caught out by the weather as you walk around these sites.

Middle Temple Garden
If you are looking for something a little different, an al-fresco venue that is drenched in historical beauty then you must visit the Middle Temple Garden. This gorgeous temple garden is an award-winning site and yet has managed to have been kept out of the public eye. The picturesque garden faces a breath taking red-brick mansion and borders a fantastic Fountain Court. Here you can enjoy the pop-up bar for a fancy glass of wine or bring your own picnic to simply sit back and take in the stunning scenery.

The Remains of Old London Bridge
Everyone knows that London Bridge is one of the most famous monuments in London. Did you know that there have actually been many bridges built over the years, with the oldest having being dated to 1209 during the reign of King John. If you take a trip to St Magnus the Martyr’s Church on Lower Thames Street, you may be able to catch a glimpse of the stones within the church’s own tower. One archway of the old bridge is used as an entrance, whilst several the other blocks can be found within the church’s courtyard.

Enhancing your adventure
Even though we have recommended 3 of our favourite historic spots to visit during your time in London, you may be travelling alone and want a guide to show you around the city. London escorts know the city like the back of their hands and can be hired to guide you around the city and show you all the popular landmarks as well as the little-known historic spots of interest. Escorts in London can be booked on an hourly basis and for overnights if you want to experience London's nightlife. The best introductory agency is London Deluxe based on reputation, so they would be the company would recommend using if you do want to book an escort to guide you around the city.
