The Valencia Conference Centre starts the year by stepping up its commitment to society

This is the third time that the building has played host to this type of initiative (the previous sessions were held in May and October 2020, with around 150 people donating blood).

The Valencia Conference Centre has started 2021 with Corporate Social Responsibility firmly on the agenda. The Centre has signed a cooperation agreement with the Valencia Province Blood Donor Association (ADSPV) to promote blood donations among the Valencian population, thus increasing public awareness and fostering the social engagement of both organisations.

Sylvia Andres, managing director, pointed out that “thanks to this partnership, we are strengthening our cooperation with the Valencia Province Blood Donor Association, which got underway during the pandemic, and we are stepping up our commitment to the people of Valencia”.

The initiatives planned include making our facilities available for regular blood donation sessions, such as the one organised yesterday by the Valencian Region Blood Transfusion Centre (CTCV) in the building, combining the activities with this altruistic work. This is the third time that the building has played host to this type of initiative (the previous sessions were held in May and October 2020, with around 150 people donating blood).

Furthermore, the Centre has already encouraged meetings between health professionals and researchers working on scientific advances in blood banks and other areas such as biotechnology and organ and tissue transplants when it was chosen as the venue for the 29th National Congress of the Spanish Blood Transfusion and Cell Therapy Society (SETS) in 2018.
