The National Tourism Organization is required to play a leading and determinant role, with a President and a Secretary General, who will have deep knowledge of the field.
They must be joined by a Board of Directors that will provide the assistance of a team/experts with international negotiating experience.

The Hellenic Tourism now facing new ongoing challenges. Domestically, it has to redeploy its way of thinking and acting. In the international field, it needs to open new paths, whose key point needs to be the gradual and normalized dissociation from the big monopolies and their preconceptions.

Consequently, Tourism Institutions are invited to lead a campaign that will have the Hellenic identity, National Tourism policy, distinct differentiation and spirit, as its sole purpose.

And when talking about a distinct national identity, we refer to the totality of Τourism actions involving Hospitality and air transport, airports, cruise, and each parallel / complementary activity, that has to do with the Tourist scene of our country.

Of course, this framework is complex and laborious, implementing a multitude of convergent and hardly controllable actions.

To start this formatting, an upgrade of the Tourism institutions, which will assist the relevant Ministers, is required.

We are never tired of repeating that we need quality Tourism and smaller masses of low consuming Tourists. In the field of destination planning, we need to redirect the influx. To create, by virtue of strategic planning, problem tracking mechanisms, using hi-tech tools.

Reeducation-Tourism education. That is where the qualitative improvement of services and adequate policing will come from. But also cleanliness, a new framework for food services and the hygiene of its premises. In parallel and at the same time, this will discourage the illegal employment of unskilled third world workers in all Tourism sectors.

No one is to be excluded because of his nationality. One needs to be excluded only if becomes exploited, being unskilled, due to his nationality. Each facilitation in Hotels, apartments, airports, boarding on aircraft and ships, trains, buses, taxis, must be provided and delivered in practice, with the necessary infrastructure.

No one must be excluded from accessing the joys of Tourism, because of health and accessibility problems. An adeptly skilled staff, having the proper training, is necessary for providing facilitation services, with patience, caution and human care.

The fight against profiteering is imperative, throughout the circuitry of Tourism and must be fought persistently. And from the matters that look like details but make the difference in the quality of Tourism, we will proceed to the issues concerning facilitating networks for electronic services at the places of visit. Therefore, we want central and regional airports, servicing the Tourist-traveler, with consistency-quality, humanity.

The same goes both for foreign Low Cost Carriers, like Ryanair, who deliver incorrect messages to the Government, and for the Hellenic Airline Companies, that are either monopolistic or oligopolistic, in the country’s airline market. One must feel that the hospitality is not artificial, but a hospitality-result of its offer in this Country.

Museums, places of cultural promotion of Hellas, will be open every day, from morning till midnight. The appropriate personnel will be hired.

It is embarrassing, that the Archaeological Museum of Athens, for example, functions poorly, has no income, and Tourists are not able to visit every day, since its halls are closed, due to lack of personnel. It is embarrassing that our Museums are unable to produce copies of artworks from the Hellenic Cultural Heritage, to be sold at very affordable prices.

Why should that happen? Because, that way, these artifacts will become universal “property”, at the hand of each of our Country’s visitors.

These objects will become living preachers of our Country and our heritage in every home. There, where the tourists will return and live after their holidays. In their home countries.
Of course, another main concern is the elevation of the Mediterranean diet. To support it, to implement it each and every day during the customer’s stay in Hellas. And equally important, what is the main target of the Hellenic success regarding the client / Tourist? But for him to become a return visitor. And that’s how we enter the new phase.
When we manage to make him dream with anticipation the next year, the next visit in our Country, Hellas.

To feel like home. Like in a rejuvenating shelter in his everyday life. Thus the cycle is completed.

And vulnerability transforms into comparative results. Are we capable? Do we have true will in this new political phase of Greece, to achieve these goals of new courses and independence?

We believe and we hope so validly.
