DALLAS – Dallas’ historic Warwick Melrose – Dallas has welcomed back Abby Rodriguez as Director of Catering as it debuts gorgeous renovations and updates hotel-wide. Rodriguez, who previously served as Associate Director of Catering, returns while the landmark Uptown hotel has also doubled its event spaces with the 6,000-square-foot spacious Turtle Creek Grand Ballroom with 2,500-square-foot pre-function space.

“We’ve been a top Dallas designation for nearly a century and have taken steps over the last several months to make dramatic updates that create a holistic resort experience with our most impressive event space yet, a pool, and Le Spa, a new luxury full-service spa,” said Andrew Wright, general manager of the Warwick Melrose – Dallas. “These developments are all in addition to the stunning renovation of our 184 guestrooms, suites and Presidential suite. Abby will be a key part of our team as we host more of life’s memorable personal and professional moments with a full host of indulgent amenities.”

Rodriguez previously served as Associate Director of Catering for the Warwick Melrose – Dallas, overseeing corporate and community events and executing flawless weddings. Most recently, she was the Director of Catering and Special Events at Toyota Music Factory, and previously worked in banquets and social catering for the Rosewood Crescent Hotel. A graduate of San Diego State University with a B.S. in Business Management as well as Hospitality and Tourism Management, Rodriguez also served as Banquet Manager with both the Sofitel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills and the W Hollywood Hotel and Residences, producing award-winning events, including parties, red carpet events, premieres and press junkets. Her experience working with high-profile clients extends to her first job in the industry at 18 as a Wedding Concierge with the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa in Dana Point, Calif.

Featuring breathtaking views of the Dallas skyline, the Warwick Melrose embodies a traditional elegance that extends from its classic marble-floored lobby replete with ornate chandeliers and vintage Hemingway touches like the wrought iron mail drop first used by residents of The Melrose Court Apartments in 1924. Its sunlit rooms and suites retain this historic character in soft pearl hues and fresh organic textures that extend to its bathrooms.

Additionally, Le Spa by Warwick Melrose, a new full-service luxury spa featuring European skincare by Valmont and Phytomer, boasts a stylish lounge, steam rooms, and six treatment suites. The Warwick Melrose’s new 1,225-square-foot pool and chaise lounge areas extend the resort experience with full-service food and beverage, as well as an on-site bar and cabanas. Rounding out the exceptional venue is the new Turtle Creek Grand Ballroom with 30-foot ceilings and no pillars allowing for a completely open venue that includes a 2,500-square-foot pre-function space styled with traditional red brick and a flat façade complete with the famed Melrose griffins etched into the exterior.

All of the recent updates were made in careful consideration of the Warwick Melrose’s surrounding Oak Lawn community and match the Warwick Melrose’s timeless original structure. The refurbished guestrooms, pool, Le Spa, and the Turtle Creek Grand Ballroom are all available for booking, and Rodriguez is already coordinating corporate events and weddings for the busy fall and holiday season. As always, valet parking is offered on-site.
