London can be crowned the trendiest city in the world largely due to its presence on social media, taking the top spot as the most picturesque city on Instagram and first place for the most views on TikTok.
A new study can reveal that London, Chicago and New York are the top three trendiest cities in the world. The study, conducted by Hey Discount analysed cities around the world on a range of factors including their popularity on social media, the number of independent coffee shops and the number of people who want to move there, to reveal the trendiest cities in the world.

London also takes third place for the number of vegan restaurants per million people and is in the top five for independent coffee shops too.
Chicago is in second place, thanks to having the highest number of yoga studios per million people. It also scores highly across other factors, including being in the top five for breweries.

- The youngest city is Mexico City with 25.8% of people under 15, just over a quarter of its population.
- Hospitality: Edinburgh is leading the way for the most vibrant hospitality, ranking first for vegan restaurants, breweries and coffee shops.
- Fitness: Chicago was named the best city for yoga studios, with 9.0 studios per 100,000 people.
