A new report by Ampersand Travel has analysed the best travel destination for women travelling solo.
The Wander Women Index 2020 by Ampersand Travel analysed factors which solo female travellers deemed important to them, including sustainability, culture, adventure and safety – as well as taking into account women's rights in each country to find the top countries for solo female travellers.
In the top spot is New Zealand, followed by the Netherlands, France, UK and Switzerland.
The Wander Women Index 2020 has taken into account many of the factors from 2019 report and updated this data with the most up to date information, including safety, women’s rights, adventure, culture, Instagrammability and volunteering opportunities. We have also expanded our research to take into account eco travel – an ever-growing concern for travellers in 2020 – tourism infrastructure, and a specific look at which countries have been named as the best hotspots for solo travellers.
