Travelling & parties: How to find the best parties

For those who love to party and travel a lot we have a few tips that will help you find the best party in the city you are travelling to.

Most people are eager to find a place to party whenever they are at a new city. Although it is not the main reason why they are travelling, there is no reason why we shouldn’t try to find what the nightlife in that city looks like. It can be a very memorable experience after all.

It’s easy to spend the night drinking in a bar but wouldn’t it be better to find a local party going on and make sure you get the most out of the city’s nightlife? One of the worst things that can happen when you travel somewhere is to grab your speakers for the perfect summer party, stay in the room and spend an ordinary night. After that you come home and hear people asking you why you didn’t go here or there to have a great party. A real nightmare if you ask me!

For those who love to party and travel a lot we have a few tips that will help you find the best party in the city you are travelling to.

1. Ask the motel employees
People working in the motel you are staying at may easily become your best source about parties happening at the local clubs and bars. In most cases some of them love to party just like you do and chances are that they will join you if they have a night off.

On the other hand there are apps available for both Android and iOS which you can use to research and book the right hostel for you. Just go through the comments and reviews and most probably you will find some information about the best places to visit while you are there. This includes the best clubs and pubs as well.

2. Ask your Facebook friends
The number of our Facebook friends increases day by day. Most of us have somewhere between 100 and 3000 Facebook friends so why not use that. If you are about to visit a big city or you are already there you can always ask your Facebook friends for recommendation. There are high chances that some of them have already been there. You have nothing to lose if you ask them.

You can also find some Facebook groups and get some valuable insider information about the best places to party. Such information is worth a fortune in some cases.

3. Printed guides and newspapers
It is a good idea to take a look whether there are printed local newspapers or guides having a “what’s on” section. Most cities have it. These cover all the cultural events happening the next week or month. Nightlife happenings are also covered in such guides. In case the guides and newspapers are printed on another language we believe you won’t have problems spotting words like Club and DJ. We don’t need to translate these words, right?

In case you can’t find a printed guide you can always use the internet. All you have to do is to have a quick search online to find detailed info about the nightlife in the specified city. The results may reveal some hidden gems for sure.

4. Use an app
The locals usually know where the best parties are. If you want to go clubbing with the locals you can check some of the free apps available like “Party with a local” and similar. The first one is a growing nightlife community which easily connects locals and travellers. If you are ready to party with a complete stranger then you can try finding the best place to party this way.

5. Other apps and websites
Party with a local is not the only app out there. You can find many similar event apps and blogs listing all the parties and nightlife events in the nearby area. Feel free to check the Vamos app or Beat Guide app. You will be surprised!

They say that we are the ones who create our own memories! And they are right. It doesn’t take much effort to find a place to party when you visit a new town. All you have to do is to think about your goal, that is – to have the best night ever!
