UK top 10 New Year’s travel destinations
trivago found that Amsterdam was the most popular continental getaway location for Brits celebrating the New Year, beating the UK’s capital city to the number 2 spot. Edinburgh joined London as one of only two British locales to make it into the top 10, coming in at number 7.
But it seems Brits have gained an appetite for voyaging farther afield for their New Year’s celebrations, with New York claiming the number 1 spot and Dubai making it into the top 5.
Benidorm came in as the top choice for Brits who want to ring in the New Year with a bit of sun without breaking the bank. The Spanish resort was the cheapest in the top 10, with an average click-through price of just $100.
