TruTravels welcomes back travellers as they run their first tour in Croatia

Youth-travel specialist operates first trips in over 500 days.

Smiles, sun and sand – that’s what was on the agenda last month as TruTravels welcomed its first travellers back on the road after more than 500 days. The youth-travel specialist kicked off its relaunched European tours with an 11-day sailing and land adventure in green-list Croatia. The Croatia Sail & Explore saw 25 excited travellers join from countries including America, the United Kingdom, Latvia, Croatia, France, Netherlands and Germany to island hop around Croatia by boat and land.

Starting and ending in Split, the trip saw travellers step aboard their own private yacht and embark on an adventure along the Croatian coast, docking in hotspots such as Dubrovnik, Markaska and Hvar. Days were spent swimming in coves, enjoying ‘Floatilla’ boat parties and visiting UNESCO world heritage sites such as Miljet National Park and Plitvice Lakes, while nights included exploring local towns such as Korcula and lapping up the nightlife in Hvar.

Mark Pope, co-founder of TruTravels said it’s been hugely energising to see travellers back on tour and enjoying great adventures.

“Here at TruTravels, we love nothing more than delivering awesome experiences  to our travellers and love seeing the beautiful connections and stories that are made on our trips. To see our first group of travellers heading back out to Croatia was so exciting and gave a huge boost to all the TruTravels family. The feedback we’ve received has been incredible and it’s clear that, as more young travellers are quickly becoming double vaccinated, they’re hungrier than ever to get back on the road, meet new people and explore new places. With some amazing European trips coming up through September and October, we’re offering some great options for last minute summer getaways, and are excited to see more happy faces in Croatia and Greece in the coming weeks,” said Pope.
