Vacations longer than 10 days are correlated with the highest levels of worker productivity, creativity

Compared to staycations and international travel, domestic travel is linked to the highest levels of rest and creativity upon returning to work.

Workers are finalizing holiday travel plans, and some may feel intimidated asking for a few extra days off this season. In an exclusive study by The Sleep Judge  the benefits of extended vacations are uncovered and why we all should take advantage of a long holiday getaway to ring in 2020.

Findings:

  • Workers say a quick 1-2 day vacation is good for rest, but shorter trips don’t positively impact productivity, creativity, and energy as much as longer trips
  • More than 3 in 4 workers who took an 11-15 day vacation felt ready to return to work, compared to just 1 in 5 workers that took a shorter vacation
  • Vacations longer than 10 days are correlated with the highest levels of worker productivity, creativity, energy, and the least amount of stress
  • Compared to staycations and international travel, domestic travel is linked to the highest levels of rest and creativity upon returning to work.
