Vibe powers tech for UK’s first subscription travel club

Ultimate Travel Club (UTC) launched in September as the UK’s first subscription travel club, offering members access to trade prices with no mark-up or commission. Travel products on offer include flights, hotels, flight & hotel packages, cruise and ancillary products such as care hire and transfers.

STEVENAGE, UK – Vibe – a leading international provider of booking technology solutions to the travel industry – has announced that is it powering the technology for Ultimate Travel Club (UTC), the UK’s first subscription travel club.

As part of this partnership Vibe is providing the search and booking technology to create UTC’s full online travel agency platform.

UTC was launched in September and  gives members access to trade prices without charging a mark-up or commission.

Travel products available from UTC include flights, hotels, flight & hotel packages, and cruises – plus ancillaries such as car hire, transfers, attractions, and airport parking.

Using technology provided by Vibe, members can search and book online –– or via UK-based travel experts on the phone – via a private member’s portal called Clubhouse that ensures members’ entitlements and travel credit balances are recognised at the time of booking.

To promote this partnership UTC is currently offering potential members a free trial, so they have access to check the savings they can make before they commit.

Matthew Chapman, Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Vibe comments: “As travel reactivates consumers now expect new purchasing experiences inspired and turbo-charged by their ‘instant everything, anyway you want it, for half the price’ lock-down experience.

“Ultimate Travel Club’s launch is the perfect response to that need and we are simply thrilled to be powering their technology so that travellers everywhere can access trade prices. Without a doubt this is going to be very popular.”

Brett Norton, CEO of Ultimate Travel Club (UTC) added: “We knew that this model would prove very popular, very quickly and as such required a robust but flexible search and booking engine that could handle the whole range of travel products plus ancillaries.

Vibe’s advanced technology solutions really stood out to us and together we’ve now put in place a platform that can cope with the fast-growing levels of demand we’re experiencing and can adapt as our business evolves.”
