Prior to joining the Visit Panama City Beach team, Patrick Stewart served in the United States Navy as a Submariner and completed a 2-year tour in Washington D.C. as a member of the Presidential Honor Guard.
PANAMA CITY BEACH, FLA. – Visit Panama City Beach announce the appointment of Patrick Stewart as Director of Special Events. Since joining the Visit Panama City Beach team in 2015, Stewart has served as Sports Marketing and Special Events Coordinator and Operations Manager for the destination.
“I look forward to continuing my career with Visit Panama City Beach as the new Director of Special Events,” says Patrick Stewart. “Our team has helped Panama City Beach become a top destination for sports and special events, and I’m thrilled to work toward more success for the destination in this new role.”
Prior to joining the Visit Panama City Beach team, Stewart served in the United States Navy as a Submariner and completed a 2-year tour in Washington D.C. as a member of the Presidential Honor Guard. Following his service in the Navy, Stewart attended Florida State University Panama City Beach, where he completed his bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Tourism and Events in 2015.
Stewart is a recipient of the Florida Festivals and Events Emerging Leader Award, and earned the Sports Tourism Strategist designation from Sports ETA, the only non-profit trade association for the sports and events tourism industry in the United States. Earlier this year, he received a Professional in Destination Management designation. In his spare time, Stewart enjoys spending the day fishing on the World’s Most Beautiful Beaches.
