VIVA Cruises announces christening of new ship VIVA TWO and inaugural sailing scheduled for April 2023

The time-honored cruise brand is a favorite across Europe, backed by its cruise-pioneering parent Scylla that shares its tradition of excellence in river and expedition cruising since 1973.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – European river cruise brand, VIVA Cruises, announced the expansion of its fleet with the launch of its second new-built ship, VIVA TWO. In celebration of this significant milestone VIVA TWO will be Christened in its homeport of Dusseldorf on March 23, 2023, before setting sail of its maiden voyage from Frankfurt to Passau on April 1, 2023. The time-honored cruise brand is a favorite across Europe, backed by its cruise-pioneering parent Scylla that shares its tradition of excellence in river and expedition cruising since 1973.

"We are delighted to welcome travelers from across the globe to enjoy every moment on our contemporary-premium, all-inclusive river cruises sailing onboard our second new build ship, VIVA TWO," said Andrea Kruse, Managing Director of VIVA Cruises. "Featuring our latest innovative concepts in architecture and design as well as innovations in the technical area, guests will revel in an even more attractive experience as they cruise along to explore the treasures of Europe via its famed waterways.”

VIVA TWO features 95 stylish and comfortable cabins for up to 190 passengers, including eight suites, that reflect the casual yet chic lifestyle of VIVA Cruises. The architecture is also new, with an open lounge and restaurant area. The most significant technical innovation is the exhaust system of VIVA TWO that enables the vessel to meet the EU Stage V exhaust emission standard. Further and similar to all of VIVA Cruises vessels, VIVA TWO is equipped with technology to use land power in its moorings.

With the design and launch of our second new build ship VIVA TWO, we are once again focusing on sustainable construction and on moving forward with a heavy focus on the environment, aiming towards The Green Award certification that demonstrates the brand's proactive implementation of measures to protect the environment and the high safety standards of the ships,” said Arno Managing Director of VIVA Cruises and its parent company Scylla AG.

As part of the VIVA All-Inclusive product, VIVA TWO presents three restaurants: VIVA’s Bistro, offering a casual atmosphere and a wide selection of snacks and smaller dishes available from early morning until late at night – as well as a prime view from the back of the ship; Riverside, the main restaurant – serving a wide selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus; and MOMENTS, the place to go for top-flight specialty food accompanied by light entertainment. All dining options will be included in the cruise package, which also includes snacks, full board, high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, self-service coffee stations and water stations, minibar, beauty products from the Rituals lifestyle luxury cosmetic brand, free Wi-Fi, and all tips and gratuities.
