Viva Wyndham Resorts announces relaunch of onsite guest activities with enhanced safety, testig protocols

Social distancing takes on a different meaning with expansive beachfront and open area restaurants and amenities that allow guests to have peace of mind during their stay.

MIAMI – Viva Wyndham Resorts, a collection of all-inclusive resorts located in the Caribbean, including the Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Mexico, announced the relaunch of select onsite activities for guests to enjoy across all Viva resorts. The relaunch follows the recent availability of on-site COVID-19 testing for guests visiting the chain’s various resorts, all of which are located just a few hours away from any major U.S. hub. Viva is working with various providers to ensure reliable service at a competitive price point and that all guests who prefer the convenience of on-site testing can have a hassle-free vacation experience. Both initiatives are in line with Viva’s commitment to keep guests healthy and able to enjoy all of Viva’s safe and fun activities while on vacation.

Social distancing takes on a different meaning with expansive beachfront and open area restaurants and amenities that allow guests to have peace of mind during their stay. Viva’s well-trained staff follow all COVID-19 safety protocols including cleaning and sanitizing frequently throughout the day. Viva Wyndham Resorts is also offering free antigen testing for US residents who visit Dominican Republic hotels. This service, provided by the government of the Dominican Republic and offers on-site at the hotel, started on January 26 and will extend for 60 days. As of this date, the CDC accepts this type of testing as valid for travelers who plan to enter the U.S. via commercial flights.

“The ability to offer our guests on-site testing, along with fun, exciting activities for them to enjoy is our latest effort via our ‘SAFE WITH VIVA’ initiative to create a safe vacation experience for our guests across all of our resorts,” said Amanda Santana, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Viva Wyndham Resorts. “We are committed to the wellbeing of our guests and to providing them with the best Viva experience possible. We expect these new services and activities will help ease the frustration of vacationing during this time and allow our guests the worry-free vacation they deserve.”

Viva also has a free Hotel Assist Insurance program that protects travelers who visit any of the Viva Wyndham Resorts with travel and medical insurance coverage, including services for telemedicine, prescriptions, COVID-19 testing and assistance, extension of stay or relocation, and more.

Depending on which resort they are staying at, guests will have access to a wide variety of entertaining and memorable activities, whether they are alone or with family. These activities include Archery, Beach Volleyball, Introductory Diving Lessons, Paddle boarding, Tennis, Water Aerobics, Water Polo, and Windsurfing. At Viva Wyndham Maya, adults and children alike can also partake in exciting trapeze lessons manned by trained instructors. Across all resorts, spa treatments and excursions are also available.
