Webjet partners with Routehappy to showcase airline rich content in flight search results

Webjet’s integration of Routehappy scores and amenities and Routehappy hub UPA content will improve the flight shopping experience for consumers and airlines.

NEW YORK and MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA – Webjet, Australia and New Zealand's largest OTA, announced its implementation of Routehappy Scores & Amenities and Routehappy Hub content, enabling Webjet to display airline rich content in flight search results. The integration will enable customers to see compelling, targeted airline information and media when shopping for flights via a standardized content format called UPAs (Universal Product Attributes) from Routehappy Hub, alongside Routehappy's Flight Scores and comprehensive Amenities like Wi-Fi, entertainment and fresh food.

Routehappy, the merchandising content platform for flight shopping, powers the creation and distribution of airline-authorized UPA content that visually showcases comprehensive, highly targeted, product features through descriptive text, photos and videos, via the Routehappy Hub SaaS platform. Its Scores & Amenities API provides flight scores and cabin amenity data, including aircraft, seat, layout, entertainment, Wi-Fi, power, fresh food and relative duration.

Routehappy Hub airline rich content can be targeted by aircraft, class of service, airport, route and fare, ensuring only relevant content is shown to customers that will be available on the flight they are searching, improving the flight shopping experience and helping them make more informed decisions. It also gives airlines an opportunity to showcase their products and key differentiators to potential customers.

"For almost twenty years, Webjet has been at the forefront of innovation with our online travel tools, focused on the goal of making flight shopping easier, more transparent and more informative for our customers. Routehappy's one of a kind solution will provide a better customer experience through clear, compelling content that highlights airlines key differentiators and amenities people care about. We're excited for our customers to see it in action," said John Guscic, Managing Director at Webjet.

"Flight shopping is moving away from just price and schedule; flyers crave more information when booking and airlines deserve a solution that enable them to merchandise their products they have invested heavily in and increase revenue. Webjet partnering with Routehappy is further proof that the industry is ready for differentiation," said Robert Albert, CEO at Routehappy.

Routehappy Scores & Amenities are now being rolled out on Webjet.com.au. Webjet's Routehappy Hub integration is currently in development and will launch in the coming months. Webjet and Routehappy are inviting airlines to participate in the Routehappy Hub integration, allowing them to show their unique and targeted rich content to further promote their products.
