Westin Grand Cayman announces Jay Marsella as new Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Located on one of the world’s most famous beaches, The Westin Grand Cayman taps seasoned veteran to oversee sales and marketing.

GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS – Westin Grand Cayman announces the appointment of Jay Marsella as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In his new role, Marsella will be overseeing Westin Grand Cayman’s team of high-performing sales, marketing, and event professionals.

Marsella comes to the Westin Grand Cayman with more than 25 years of resort sales and marketing experience and a stellar reputation in the hospitality industry. Spanning an impressive portfolio of properties and destinations and well-versed in resort openings to multi-million-dollar renovations and re-brands to re-positionings, stops along his storied career include Waldorf Astoria Orlando, Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort and Hilton Waikoloa Village, Harbor Beach Resort and Spa, Fort Lauderdale, and Marriott Marquis Houston.

“Jay has an exceptional background, possesses strong leadership skills, and is a welcoming collaborator adept in managing and executing hundreds of large-scale projects to perfection,” said Jim Mauer, Vice President, Managing Director at Westin Grand Cayman. “His extensive experience and in-depth sales and marketing knowledge will help drive our performance and growth. Together, we are looking forward to welcoming guests from around the world as we see tourism return to the Cayman Islands.”

Jay believes the key to being a successful leader is to lead from within, not from above. “Leading the elite team at this very special resort is truly a dream opportunity,” said Marsella. “I’m looking forward to leveraging my experience and collaborating with the team here to make Westin Grand Cayman the premier destination in the Caribbean.”
