Zeno introduces enhanced airline safety data and advanced hotel search filters to support traveler wellbeing

Zeno now provides standardized information on airline offerings including mask requirements, pre-flight temperature checks, passenger capacity, blocked adjacent seats and aircraft cleaning.

Serko Limited, a leader in online travel booking and expense management for business, announced the introduction of enhanced information on airline COVID-19 measures in Zeno, the next generation travel management application, to help travelers make more informed flight purchase decisions.

Zeno now provides standardized information on airline offerings including mask requirements, pre-flight temperature checks, passenger capacity, blocked adjacent seats and aircraft cleaning. The data makes it easy for travelers to compare different airline measures at a glance, and helps travel managers to determine which providers meet the safety and traveler well-being standards of their travel programs.

This enhanced information is in addition to the illustrative graphics and messaging around flexible booking, food and beverage hygiene, clean air circulation and more that were previously released into Zeno in April this year. The data is provided by ATPCO, who created a new type of rich content called “Reassurance UPAs (Universal Product Attributes)” to communicate rich information on airline health and safety measures. Initial coverage is approximately 275 airlines globally with the content supplied by the partner airlines themselves.

Supporting informed travel choices throughout the connected trip, Zeno has added a “Free Cancellation” filter to accommodation search results that allows travelers to identify hotel bookings that will not incur a penalty if they need to cancel their trip. This will be supplemented with enhanced hotel safety and cleanliness information available in the product shortly.

Darrin Grafton, CEO of Serko commented, “We know that cost, risk and change management are the key priorities for organizations as they adapt their travel programs for the return to travel. Zeno has the capability to use data and technology to cut through the noise so that travelers can book with confidence, and travel managers know their wellbeing standards are being met. This is made possible by partners like ATPCO who are helping standardize those data points on a global basis, significantly reducing the complexity of aggregating this information across hundreds of suppliers in multiple regions.”

The enhanced airline Universal Product Attributes (UPAs) and the additional hotel filter functionality are available to all Zeno users globally from today.
