Within the framework of the V International investment forum “Astana Invest 2014” is planned to sign 11 memoranda for the amount of $ 500 million.

“Kazakhstan is taking new steps towards attracting investment. Our conditions to create an attractive environment have also been recognized by the World Bank. By world standards we are in a good competitive position on the protection of investments. In recent months, the Government has developed a comprehensive program to attract investment. Draft legislation will be submitted to Parliament in the nearest future”, said the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov. According to the Prime Minister, to achieve the objectives of the “Kazakhstan -2050” Strategy the country needs foreign investment. At the same time, over the past five years, the country has achieved great results regarding this issue, $ 160 billion was attracted in Kazakhstan’s economy.

The most favorable investment conditions were created in the capital of Kazakhstan Astana. There is a complex support of investors both at the national and the regional levels. “Adopted measures aimed at improving the investment climate, reducing the administrative burden on business and the provision of incentives. These measures are intended to provide tax stability of new mechanisms and grants “, said Karim Massimov. The Prime Minister noted that: “Astana plays a key role in the development of our people. Today it is the fastest growing city in the country with the highest life standards. The capital is the intellectual center. It has the world class university Nazarbayev University, as well as research institutes and hospitals. Kazakhstan is also about to host EXPO 2017”.

Akim of Astana I. Tasmagambetov also confirmed the investment attractiveness of the capital of Kazakhstan. “Many investors have already felt a real effect. It should be noted that a legislation on new forms of PPP recently was confirmed, thus investors have even more perspectives and guarantees. From now a huge market of socially significant services is available for them”, said I. Tasmagambetov.
