20-year tourism expert appointed CEO of Meeting Point Emirates

David Loiseau, a long-time sales and marketing professional of various leading hotel companies, has been named as CEO to Meeting Point Emirates. The leading Dubai-based DMC company has ambitious development plans that Loiseau will take forward.

MUNICH, GERMANY – Meeting Point International has hired David Loiseau as its new CEO for Meeting Point Emirates; effective September 16, 2018. “I am excited to join the Meeting Point International family,” said Loiseau. “This company has ambitious aims and I look forward to tackling them with their top-notch professionals.”

The French 20-year tourism industry proficient was chosen to take the helm of this important Meeting Point International company due to his notable background. Loiseau, has also a deep knowledge of the UAE and its tourism source markets.

“Meeting Point Emirates remains the leading DMC as far as European markets,” said Khaled Jouni, CEO of Meeting Point International, the parent company of Meeting Point Emirates. “In order to maintain our position, and enhance it, we need executives who understand both our core markets, but also those which we are seeking to develop.”

Loiseau has worked for several international hotel chains, developing and leading their sales and marketing strategies and teams into success , including Marriot Hotels International, Mandarin Oriental Group and Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts. Europe, Asia and the Middle East are all markets where he has vast professional experience.

The knowledge Loiseau developed working in Asia is going to be of particular importance to his current leadership position. Meeting Point Emirates has a long term business diversification strategy of harnessing a sizeable segment from these rising markets. “Meeting Point Emirates has the goal of diversifying its client base,” said Loiseau. “We need to become truly global and properly reach the emerging source markets of China, India and South Korea.”

Loiseau has had lots of experience as a manager of established companies. However, he has also acted like an “intrapreneur.” While serving as Asia-Pacific Vice-President of Sales & Marketing for the Jumeirah Group, Loiseau successfully opened several regional sales offices, including those of Japan, China and Australia.

This pioneer mentality was also among the many reasons Loiseau was picked to head Meeting Point Emirates during this important business life cycle phase.
