As part of TUI Travel’s ongoing ‘digital transformation’, they have launched a new interactive video, ‘Holiday Open Day’, to help customers find their perfect holiday. The video takes the decisions of the user and then turns them into product recommendations – a leading innovation in the travel sector.

This immersive interactive video is emphasising engagement and personalisation in the research stage of a holiday, allowing customers in the UK and Germany the opportunity to virtually try a holiday before they buy.

The video is designed for customers who know they want to enjoy the quality and customer service of a Thomson or First Choice holiday, but are unsure which one of the brands’ specially designed concepts is right for them. The video is optimised for all devices (desktop, smartphone and tablet) via holidayopenday.co.uk.

Holidays are very personal and highly emotive choices and the interactive video reflects this. Filmed from the first person’s viewpoint, customers are able to create their dream holiday, through this user led video, helping them to visually see what their holidays would look like by bringing it to life. Customers are then able to share their videos with family and friends via social media.
