After the success of the past staging, FESTITUR is back with an extensive programme

FITUR hosts the third staging of this project, which last year attracted more than 9,605 companies

MADRID – FESTITUR is a programme of cultural, recreational and gastronomic activities due to be held from 13 to 22 January 2017 during the staging of the International Tourism Trade Fair, FITUR, which is organised by IFEMA in Feria de Madrid. It is aimed at the Trade Fair’s stand holders and professional visitors and is open to the participation of all kinds of leisure establishments, spectacles and hospitality venues. The project is promoted by Noche Madrid and Let’s Biz, with the collaboration of IFEMA, which serves as a showcase for advertising the best of Madrid.

After the success of the past staging, which registered record business participation in the Trade Fair, with 9,605 companies, FESTITUR is back with the goal of becoming a festival of tourist experiences offered by Madrid to its visitors during the International Tourism Trade Fair. It thus seeks to mobilise the participation of Madrid’s culture, leisure, gastronomy and spectacle businesses as well as the city as a whole and its citizens in promoting the tourist activities of the Spanish capital.

FESTITUR is supported and sponsored by Bacardi, Fluge and the Higher Protocol and Events Institute. Collaborating in it are the Directorate-General for Tourism of the Madrid Region Presidency Department, Madrid Destino of the Culture and Sport Governance Area of Madrid City Hall and the Turismo Madrid Association.

According to the Study on Leisure Preferences and Consumption conducted by FITUR among the experts and professionals of the tourism industry, Madrid’s offering of spectacles, leisure and culture is the city’s most highly valued tourism product.
