Air charter company sees record month for private jet bookings

ffices spanning five continents offering private jet, commercial airliner and cargo aircraft charters. Revenue in excess of US$ 400 million and arranges more than 6,500 charters annually.

SURREY – Leading aircraft charter specialist, Air Charter Service, has reported that its private jet division has had its record month in terms of charter bookings in July.

Ruan Courtney, Group Executive Jets Director, commented: “We booked more than 800 flights in July meaning that, on average, an ACS private jet flight departed every 55 minutes throughout the entirety of the month. The summer period is traditionally the busiest time for private jet charters, as our regular corporate business is boosted by leisure travel.”

He added:  “We are seeing a slight shift in our clients’ buying behaviour – many are booking smaller aircraft, but more regularly. We are also winning new business as people move away from fractional ownership and traditional hourly jet cards, some preferring ad-hoc charters whilst others switch to our take on the jet card. People are looking for flexibility and value when chartering and we feel that the Lindbergh Card offers just that. It seems as though our customers agree, as card sales have far exceeded our projections.”

Notably, ACS’s exceptional month is not just down to one region doing well, charter numbers show steady growth across the group. Courtney concluded: “Europe remains strong, but we are particularly pleased with our North American, Asian and African office results.”
