Galileo has launched Focalpoint Shopping within its GDS which will provide travel agents with an automated availability search for lower fares inclusive of taxes. Focalpoint Shopping will be available to Galileo-connected agents in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan and will be extended to the rest of the Asia Pacific markets in late June 2007.

Focalpoint Shopping permits agents to shop for all public and private fares available from Galileo’s fully automated fare system known as Galileo 360° Fares.

Galileo’s Product Director, Graham Anderson commented, “We’ve seen the benefits the low fare shopping tool have brought our agents who use Viewpoint, Galileo’s non-cryptic environment within the Galileo Desktop. Now cryptic users have the same advantage. With a quick Focalpoint entry agents can now perform complex and tailored searches with a range of different criteria to support their traveler’s preferences.”
