TCEB is targeting China’s lucrative MICE market, armed with its new ‘Believe in Thailand’ marketing campaign, which promotes Phuket and Samui as luxury incentive travel and meeting destinations. Chinese visitors will also be eligible for special promotions offered by four other MICE cities, Bangkok, Chiengmai, Phuket and Pattaya. TCEB and major Thai MICE operators will be at CIBTM, and continue on to three major cities: Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhao, as part of their road show.

Under the ‘Believe in Thailand’ campaign, TCEB has been promoting Thailand’s potential, highlighting 4 strategic strengths: professional services, world-class facilities and infrastructure, a diverse choice of destinations and countless business opportunities. Thailand undoubtedly provides all the essentials for the success of all MICE events. Thailand is also the perfect springboard to the ASEAN regional market, opening up even more opportunities in the run-up to the formation of a single regional market.

During the China road show, TCEB will bring 8 leading Thai MICE operators and private sector representatives to participate at the CIBTM trade show in Beijing, with the aim of attracting more Chinese MICE travelers to Thailand.

This year, TCEB has been involved in many events focusing on China, including the IT&CM and Connections Plus. With an enhanced awareness of all that Thailand has to offer, more Chinese MICE travelers will choose Thailand as their destination of choice for their business events. Moreover, in November this year, TCEB will further extend its cooperation with the Airports of Thailand and the Tourism Authority of Thailand by joining their annual aviation routing meeting in order to discuss potential implications for the MICE industry.

This year, several major corporate groups from China will hold corporate meetings and seminars in Thailand, including Infinitus, New China Life Insurance, CTS Fuji Xerox, and Xian Janssen Pharmaceutical. In 2012, 12,000 Chinese direct sales representatives will join the Amway seminar in Phuket.
