Austin, TX among most expensive Spring destinations in the USA – CheapHotels.org

The survey compared all major U.S. destinations based on their average hotel cost during the months of April and May 2017.

DALLAS – Austin, Texas is one of the most expensive spring destinations in the United States, according to the latest survey from CheapHotels.org.

For comparative purposes, the survey established the minimum price travelers will have to pay to stay in each destination's cheapest available double room. It is worth noting that only those hotels and inns with a central location and with an overall rating of 3 stars or more were considered.

Coming in at an average of $224 per night for its least expensive double room, the Texan state capital took the sixth spot overall. That means only five other destinations in the United States are more expensive this spring. Topping the leaderboard is Charleston, SC. There an overnight guest will have to spend $241, on average, in April and May.

Nashville, TN and Napa, CA complete the Top 3 podium at nightly rates of $237 and $234, respectively, for their most affordable room. Key West reveals itself to be the most expensive destination in Florida, ranking fourth most expensive. An average rate of $231 per night landed it just below the Top 3.

The following table shows the 10 most expensive destinations in the USA this spring. The prices shown reflect the average rate for each destination's cheapest available double room for the time period spanning April 1, 2017 to May 31, 2017.
