Avoya’s first-ever hybrid conference concludes in-person celebrating the Avoya Network and announcing new evolutions in marketing and technology.
FT. LAUDERDALE, FLA. – Avoya Travel, one of the travel industry’s most innovative brands, recently concluded part two of the 2022 Avoya Conference, which took place onboard the Celebrity Beyond November 8–13, 2022. Part one of Avoya’s first-ever hybrid conference took place virtually from October 18–21, 2022. While the virtual portion of the conference focused mostly on brand education, the in-person portion had a greater emphasis on networking and building collaborative relationships between Independent Agencies in the Avoya Travel Network, Avoya’s preferred suppliers, and Avoya support staff.
Onboard the Celebrity Beyond, attendees heard thought-provoking presentations from many of Avoya’s preferred suppliers including AmaWaterways, Oceania Cruises, Globus family of brands, Royal Caribbean International, Carnival Cruise Line, and many more. Dondra Ritzenthaler, Senior Vice President of Sales, Trade Support & Service at Celebrity Cruises, gave an incredibly inspiring keynote address regarding the importance of Independent Agencies being a “Maverick” and using the resources offered by Avoya to continually improve their businesses each and every day.
“We were so proud to host the 2022 Avoya Conference onboard the beautiful Celebrity Beyond as we connected with the Avoya Network at their first in-person conference since 2019,” said Ritzenthaler. “We are incredibly optimistic about the future of the cruise industry and thrilled to have a partner in Avoya Travel that is so committed to innovation and providing its network members with the resources and technology to help them continue to build even more successful businesses. The enthusiasm and engagement from the advisors in attendance was such a positive beacon for the upward trajectory of the Avoya platform.”
A key highlight of the event was Avoya’s recently announced affiliation with Travel Leaders Network (TLN) and the many marketing resources and programs available to the Avoya Network thanks to the new partnership with the marketing powerhouse. The most highly applauded announcement related to TLN was the upcoming launch of Avoya’s participation in TLN’s Agent Profiler program, where Avoya revealed leads generated through this channel will be offered at an 80% commission split to Independent Agencies in 2023.
Avoya also made several exciting announcements regarding new technology and marketing initiatives that were either recently launched or soon to come, including an omnichannel marketing campaign showcasing the value of booking through expert travel advisors; an enhanced version of the Avoya Connect app which serves as a lead-claiming hub and a communications nexus to Avoya’s SaaS software, Agent Power; Avoya Appointment Leads, which allow clients to establish a time window they would like to be contacted by an Independent Agency; several quality of life improvements and enhancements in Agent Power and the Avoya Marketing Resource Center™; and much more.
Networking opportunities onboard included Independent Agency roundtables with Avoya’s preferred partners, the opportunity to meet-up with Avoya staff and TLN representatives in a more personal environment, a “Champion of the World” team photo scavenger hunt, cocktail parties, and more. Independent Agencies in attendance were also ecstatic about the “Avoya Conference Cash” incentives offering thousands of dollars in bonus commissions for those who book participating preferred supplier sponsors post-conference.
“Attending my first annual Avoya Conference onboard the beautiful Celebrity Beyond was an incredible experience. I was able to connect with fellow Independent Agencies in the Network as well as meet up with Avoya staff members from across departments to really develop efficiencies for my agency to grow my business,” said Cheerie Dorris, Owner of Cheerie Travel LLC, a member of the Avoya Network and recipient of Avoya’s 2022 Rookie of the Year award. “The opportunities to meet with our preferred suppliers one-on-one and at the roundtables were invaluable. The general sessions were lively, informative, and inspiring. Avoya feels like a family, where everyone is willing to help each other. We might be Independent Agencies but we're never alone; the support is incredible! The whole conference was amazing from start to finish. I'm more focused, motivated, and ready for Wave Season than ever!”
