Bizly wins 2020 Business Travel Innovator Award at The Business Travel Show

Tripbam wins People’s Choice Award.

LONDON, UK – Bizly took top honours from the judges at the 2020 Business Travel Innovation Faceoff during the Business Travel Show at the Olympia London on February 26-27. Tripbam was also voted People’s Choice winner by those in attendance. Produced by the BTN Group, the Business Travel Show is Europe’s largest specialised exhibition and conference bringing together over 8,800 European travel professionals each year for more than 25 years.

Among eight Business Travel Innovation Faceoff competitors, Bizly captured the imaginations and votes of judges Steve Clagg, travel technology manager for Microsoft; Ami Goldenberg, Co-Founder and CTO for FairFly, Katharina Navarro, Global Category Manager Travel & Meetings for Capgemini and Johnny Thorsen, VP Strategy & Innovation for American Express Digital Labs.

The judges cross-examined, evaluated and critiqued all eight supplier presentations to determine the official winner of the 2020 Business Travel Innovator Award, concluding that: “Bizly’s impactful presentation clearly demonstrated a strong user-centric and collaborative design for improving the meeting planner experience and streamline the venue sourcing process, empowering companies to do more themselves.”

Bizly CEO Ron Shah said: “It’s an honour to be recognised by such a great community and we particularly appreciate the support as we prepare to launch in Europe later this year.”

Conference attendees voted for a separate "People's Choice" award-winner, naming Tripbam the winner.

“This award is a game changer and validated us in the marketplace as we enable companies to get a deal anywhere in the world,” said Tripbam CEO Steve Reynolds.

“We would like to add our congratulations to the winners and our thanks to all of the suppliers who competed in the 2020 Business Travel Innovation Faceoff," said BTN Group Executive Vice President and Group Publisher Louis Magliaro. "We look forward to expanding this program so our corporate travel buyer attendees can be introduced to new leading innovation and unique solutions in 2021.”

Additional participants in the Business Travel Innovation Faceoff included Freelane, HRS Invisible Pay, Mint House, Rydoo, Sixt, and Viselio.
